For 40+ years, ABC Christian Child Care Center has been a trusted, familiar presence in this community. A place where generations of Port Alberni children have taken their first steps into the world of learning and lasting friendships.
Who We Are
Quality Child Care for Port Alberni and the Alberni Valley
ABC Christian Child Care Center has been providing enriching, quality childcare programs in Port Alberni since 1986. Our teachers are Licensed Early Childhood Educators dedicated to nurturing children while building the foundational skills they need to transition successfully into Kindergarten.
We are a non-profit society managed by a volunteer board of directors, licensed with the Community Care Facility Licensing Board and subject to all current Ministry regulations, safety standards, and procedures.
Our large, bright facility includes a CSA-approved playground, a full-sized gymnasium, and spacious classrooms filled with a wide variety of fun and educational activity centers. We are committed to providing a positive experience for both you and your child at ABC.

Safety & Licensing
Your Child's Safety
We meet every provincial requirement and hold ourselves to more. Safety is never something we compromise on.
BC Provincial Licence
Fully licensed as a Group Child Care facility under the Child Care Licensing Regulation. Our licence is displayed on-site and available for review at any time.
Criminal Record Checks
Every staff member and volunteer is screened before beginning work. We take this seriously — without exception.
First Aid Certified
All team members hold current First Aid and CPR certification. First aid kits are maintained throughout the facility.
Secure Arrival & Departure
Sign-in and sign-out procedures, authorised pickup lists, and secured entrances ensure your child is always in safe, known hands.
Regular Inspections
We are inspected regularly by provincial licensing officers and are pleased to share any inspection reports with families.
Health & Allergy Protocols
Individual allergy plans, illness exclusion guidelines, and medication protocols are in place and followed carefully every day.
